Well at 2006's Lightmania (their National conference) they had just 500 people attend. This past 2007 Lightmania had over 2,500 people attend. Now, I'm no math expert but that's pretty good growth in just 12 months.

Lightyear Launched in October of 2003 so we're barely a 4 year old company. The first 2 years were basically a learning curve for the company (by their own admission they had a lot to learn). From the looks of things the company is a GREAT student! This thing hasn't even begun the stages of momentum yet!

You know April, when people stop to really take a look at where we are as a company they really get excited. When you consider that Lightyear is billing MONTHLY what companies like Excel or ACN did in their entire 3rd year, it tells me that we're truly in the right place and time!

Isn't Lightyear similar to Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing? By the little I have read, repres from Lightyear say it gives more to its reps than FHTM. Where's the proof in the pudding? I am interested but don't want to join forces with the wrong company.

Also was told by a disgrunteled former Excel rep that Paul Oberson who is head of FHTM was with Excel, left, and all of his downline suffered. Is this true? If you don't know, do you know where I can go online and find out more about his past experiences with MLM?

Well, I of course am going to say that Lightyear is better. Unfortunately I think it's impossible to try to explain that without my bias taking over. So, my advice is to look at the plans side by side and pick the one that feels right to you.

Lightyear is similar to FHTM - in that we are a MLM company. However, FHTM doesn't own or control any of its services - they aren't an actual service provider. Lightyear on the other hand provides their own Local, Long Distance, Internet, and VOIP products. We've partnered with a few outside vendors but our core services are in house. The only products that FHTM controls is the True Essential Vitamins and their make up line.

FHTM has a goal to market all types of things. Lightyear mainly deals in services - so I think the companies are VERY different. Their comp plans are also different. That you can see for yourself.

When Paul left Excel people that stuck around in Excel tried to tell everyone that he "retired" so it wouldn't make people think Excel was going in a negative direction (why would their number 1 earner leave). However, what eventually came out years later was that Paul had realized the direction Excel was headed and he decided to start his own company - which he had every right to do.

lightYear is an exciting company - with products being introduced like the VCard (virtual voip calling card). It shows how the leadership is looking forward to making this a Billion dollar company. I am so glad I am a part of it.
